I'm back...

I am making blogging a New Years resolution. I am going to try my best to post something once a month. How hard can that be? Probably hard for someone like me, but I promise to try.

Now onto blogging....

Christmas was great this year. Jackson was way more alert and excited to play with his toys. Jared and I decided to have our Christmas on Christmas Eve morning at our house since we normally go the the Durham's and spend the night on Christmas Eve. It was so much fun! We woke Jackson up around 7:30am and headed into the living room. The first thing he saw was his new Pillow Pet, a duck, NOT the huge red wagon the duck was sitting in.. His response "Duhhh" "quack quack". So cute! After opening presents we spent the day relaxing. We decided to go the the Durham's a little earlier than we normally do. So we packed up and headed over there around 3:30pm. Here are some pictures from "our" Christmas.

Next Christmas with the Durham's. This year was awesome. We were very surprised what Santa brought. My father-in-law and brother-in-law, I mean Santa, worked very hard the last couple weeks on two of Jackson's presents. When we walked our into the living room we were greeted with a LIFE SIZE rocking horse and a special pirates chest. Serioulsy, y'all this is the biggest rocking horse i have ever seen. The pictures do not do it justice. Anyways, after all the fun present opening we had our big Durham breakfast and lounged around the rest of the day. This year was very hard on me since this would be the first year not seeing my parents in 30 years. So sad! For those of you who don't know, my parents moved to San Antonio two weeks before Christmas. By the end of the day we were tired and ready to go home. Here are some pictures of the Durham Christmas. I will have to post pictures of the two handmade items when we get them delivered to our house. Sorry not very many pictures.

Last but not least, the Clark Christmas. We decided to leave right after I got off work on New Years Eve to head to San Antonio. Man, what a long drive it is when you have a kid. Our once 4 1/2 hour drive took 6 HOURS! Long story short we had a wonderful time there with the whole Clark gang. We celebrated Christmas NYE night and then brought in the New Year and went to bed. We are so blessed to have two amazing families to spend the holidays with. We love them all so much!

Okay, really really bad about blogging..

I just realized that I haven't posted anything since FEBURARY! That's awful! I would have to say that it is the last thing on my mind these days. I honestly didn't think working a full-time job and raising a baby would be so difficult. I am so ready for the day when i get to "retire" from the corporate world. I hate leaving my baby everyday knowing that I am probably going to miss some sort of milestone.

Jackson just started his first week of Day Care. He is going to an at-home day care for npow. We/I feel it is the best thing for him right now. So far he is having a blast. I thiknk he is a little confused when we drop him off but by the time we are pulling away he has probably already forgotten that we left. So sad! I know that this will be so good for him. I love that he gets to interact with other babies his age and hopefully will learn how to play and share toys. We will see.

I have a ton of pictures that i need to post but for now i think i am going to start the countdown of his first birthday with a stroll down memory lane. Enjoy.

Such a bad blogger......

I am still trying to figure this blogging thing out. I feel like I am so busy with being a full-time working mommy. I promise to start keeping this thing updated more often. I think I am going to start making this a food blog as well. I LOVE cooking and baking new things and I think it would be fun to blog and share to people who read this blog. So, hopefully when i get our new awesome camera figured out I will start posting yummy picture detailed recipes.

Anyways, I am staying home today because of the weather so I will post some new pictures as soon as i can get off my lazy rear and get on Jared's computer. That's where all the "good" pictures of our handsome little booger are.

Stay tuned!

Blog

New Blog background coming soon.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

A couple of weekends ago we went to Stonebriar so Jackson could meet Santa Claus for the first time. It was so cute to see the excitement in all the kids faces as they got closer to him. By the time we got up there Jackson was ready to smile for the camera. I was a little worried that he would have a melt down since it was time for him to eat, but he did great. I put him on Santa's lap and he smiled the first shot. I was so proud of him seeing that the eight month old twins ahead of him needed three shots to get a half way decent photo. So, our first Santa experience was good. I can't say the same for next year though. I will post the picture later along with Christmas day photos.

I am so excited to spend this Christmas with our baby. It just seems like yesterday that we found out we were pregnant. This time last year we were so happy to announce our great news to the family and this year he is here. YAY!!!! I know he doesn't know what is going on, but it is still exciting. I can't wait till he understands the REAL meaning of Christmas.

Starting Thursday we are goign to have a fun but very busy schedule. Thursday, Christmas Eve we will go to church with my parents and then over to the Durham's to spend the night. It is a family tradition to eat chick-fil-a, Apricot fried pies, oh and Susie's cheeseball and watch It's a Wonderful Life. Then, we will wake wp Christmas morning to presents that Santa brought and drink coffee out of hillarious singing mugs and indulge ourselves in my mother-in-law's wonderful Christmas morning breakfast. Then, Christmas afternoon we will head to my brother and sister-in-laws and have some good ole' Clark family time. We don't get to celebrate our family Christmas till Sunday since Chris and Kathy can't be here till then. : ( This is the first year that we can't do that. It makes me sad that we can't see them on Christmas day, but atleast we get to see them. So, on Sunday we will go to my parents for the Clark Christmas and eat homemade tamalies(sp?) and open presents. I am especially excited this year because we are going to spend the night at my parents so that means some sister and brother time. Can't wait! It is going to be one crazy household. Here is the head count just in case you were wondering.

Mom, Dad, Chris, Kathy, Travis(12), Aaron(8), Jake(3), Michael, Jenn, Jordan(5), Zach(9mos), Jared, Lindsey, nad Jackson(basically 4mos). that's A LOT of people under one roof. We are going to have a blast!

Well, I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas. Enjoy the time with your family and friends.

Merry Christmas form Jared, Lindsey, nad Jackson!

Happy 3 Months, Baby!

This post is a little old but it is very blog worthy. Jackson is now 3 months old. Man, how time flies. It is a bittersweet feeling. I love that he is developeing and getting bigger by the minute, but it is alos sad knowing that my days of holding and cuddling him without him squirming are slowly coming to an end. I have been warned by friends that by the time they are 8 months they no longer want to be held all the time. So sad! I love to hold him and know that he is so dependent on me and Jared. We love our little guy so much. It is amazing how you never know how deepley you can love someone until you have a child. I know people say that all the time, but it is so true. Here are his stats:

Food: Breastmilk and formula : (

Clothes: 3-6 mos

Teeth: none, but I think they are on their way.

Hair: BLONDE and finally getter longer and thicker. So cute!

Sleeping: 7:00pm-6:30am(Weekdays) & 7:00pm-7:30am(Weekends) through the night since 7 weeks. So proud!

Sounds: LOTS of cooing, laughing, and squealing.

Likes: He likes to be held, read to, rocked, and talked to.

Toys: Right now he really like his teether lion.

Just thought y'all would like to know what he ahs been up to lately. I know this update post will be much longer come his 6 month birthday.

We love you Jackson!!!!

I love my Mommy!

Jared decided to take some pictures on Saturday when his tummy was nice a full. You can see that he was in a great mood.
