New Blog background coming soon.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

A couple of weekends ago we went to Stonebriar so Jackson could meet Santa Claus for the first time. It was so cute to see the excitement in all the kids faces as they got closer to him. By the time we got up there Jackson was ready to smile for the camera. I was a little worried that he would have a melt down since it was time for him to eat, but he did great. I put him on Santa's lap and he smiled the first shot. I was so proud of him seeing that the eight month old twins ahead of him needed three shots to get a half way decent photo. So, our first Santa experience was good. I can't say the same for next year though. I will post the picture later along with Christmas day photos.

I am so excited to spend this Christmas with our baby. It just seems like yesterday that we found out we were pregnant. This time last year we were so happy to announce our great news to the family and this year he is here. YAY!!!! I know he doesn't know what is going on, but it is still exciting. I can't wait till he understands the REAL meaning of Christmas.

Starting Thursday we are goign to have a fun but very busy schedule. Thursday, Christmas Eve we will go to church with my parents and then over to the Durham's to spend the night. It is a family tradition to eat chick-fil-a, Apricot fried pies, oh and Susie's cheeseball and watch It's a Wonderful Life. Then, we will wake wp Christmas morning to presents that Santa brought and drink coffee out of hillarious singing mugs and indulge ourselves in my mother-in-law's wonderful Christmas morning breakfast. Then, Christmas afternoon we will head to my brother and sister-in-laws and have some good ole' Clark family time. We don't get to celebrate our family Christmas till Sunday since Chris and Kathy can't be here till then. : ( This is the first year that we can't do that. It makes me sad that we can't see them on Christmas day, but atleast we get to see them. So, on Sunday we will go to my parents for the Clark Christmas and eat homemade tamalies(sp?) and open presents. I am especially excited this year because we are going to spend the night at my parents so that means some sister and brother time. Can't wait! It is going to be one crazy household. Here is the head count just in case you were wondering.

Mom, Dad, Chris, Kathy, Travis(12), Aaron(8), Jake(3), Michael, Jenn, Jordan(5), Zach(9mos), Jared, Lindsey, nad Jackson(basically 4mos). that's A LOT of people under one roof. We are going to have a blast!

Well, I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas. Enjoy the time with your family and friends.

Merry Christmas form Jared, Lindsey, nad Jackson!

Happy 3 Months, Baby!

This post is a little old but it is very blog worthy. Jackson is now 3 months old. Man, how time flies. It is a bittersweet feeling. I love that he is developeing and getting bigger by the minute, but it is alos sad knowing that my days of holding and cuddling him without him squirming are slowly coming to an end. I have been warned by friends that by the time they are 8 months they no longer want to be held all the time. So sad! I love to hold him and know that he is so dependent on me and Jared. We love our little guy so much. It is amazing how you never know how deepley you can love someone until you have a child. I know people say that all the time, but it is so true. Here are his stats:

Food: Breastmilk and formula : (

Clothes: 3-6 mos

Teeth: none, but I think they are on their way.

Hair: BLONDE and finally getter longer and thicker. So cute!

Sleeping: 7:00pm-6:30am(Weekdays) & 7:00pm-7:30am(Weekends) through the night since 7 weeks. So proud!

Sounds: LOTS of cooing, laughing, and squealing.

Likes: He likes to be held, read to, rocked, and talked to.

Toys: Right now he really like his teether lion.

Just thought y'all would like to know what he ahs been up to lately. I know this update post will be much longer come his 6 month birthday.

We love you Jackson!!!!

Introducing Ruff Jackson Durham

I know this is a little past due due, but I guess it's better late than never. We are pleased to announce the birth of our wonderful son, Ruff Jackson. He has been such a blessing to me and Jared. He has the sweetest personality and prettiest blue eyes, so far. We are totally in love with this little dude. It is so fun to watch him grow and develop. Well, I know many people were wanting to hear his birth story so here it is. Enjoy!

The Birth

Jared and I went to the hospital around 7pm on Tuesday, September the 1st to start the induction. When we got there we were surprised to find out that they didn't have a room for me. Let me tell you I was not a happy pregnant person. I remember going to the bathroom and crying my eyes out because I was so ready/nervous to meet our baby. When I came back from the bathroom the main L&D nurse came to tell us the wonderful news that we had a room. Yea! When we finally got situated it was too late to do what was originally planned. My awesome doctor told the nurse to try another process to speed things up. Thank you Dr. Holt! So, around 10pm i got my first dose of whatever it was and went to sleep. They came back in the room around 2:30am and gave me the second dose and I went back to sleep. Around 3:30am I started to have some pretty painful contraction but tried to sleep throught them. the next thing i remember it was 6am and they were starting the Pitocin. Man does that stuff really work. By 7am I recieved my epidural and was resting peacfully. Oh yeah I was already at 4cm by then. When they came back in around 10am I had already progressed to 7cm. I think it was around this time when I asked for a second dose of the epidural because the first one was starting to wear off for some reason. I think it also made me sick. That was not one of my finest moments. Poor Jared had to comfort me and hold a trash can at the same time. Anyways, noon rolled around the corner and I was at a 10!!!! The nurse called Dr. Holt and she wanted me to labor down before she got there. Let me just tell y'all that was the most pain I have ever experienced in my life. Laboring down is where you let the baby slowly make their way down with out pushing. I will have to say I will definitely do it again for baby number 2 if I can. I swear that made my delivery so much easier. Well, when Dr. Holt finally got there at 12:45pm she wanted me to do several practice pushes. Well to her surprise little Jackson didn't want to waste any time. I pushed 8 times and he was born sometime between 12:55 and 1:00pm on September 2, weighing in at 8lbs 2oz and 21inches long. It was the best experience EVER! Oh I love my baby and I will definitely do it all over again.

Well, there is the birth story. I hope y'all enjoyed!

I'm back!!!

I started this blog while I was pregnant so that I could give everyone updates on my pregnancy and let's just say my pregnant brain took over and I forgot. Thanks to Jenn I am updating it TODAY.

I've Caved

Well, I decided to finally get a family page going. I know that with this new baby coming everyone will want frequent updates. Jared and I have been very busy trying to get ready for Jackson's arrival and I feel like we are running out of time. As we get things in order i will take pictures and share. As far as my pregnancy is going I am a whopping 27 weeks along. WOOHOO! I am in the final stretch. I will officially be in my third trimester next week. It has gone by so fast that i can't fathom that my little boy will be here in 13 weeks. Oh my goodness. Right now the little guy weighs around 2 1/2 lbs and is roughly 14 inches. He is a very active little booger, but I love every kick, punch, stretch, etc. It is one of the most amazing feelings to feel your unborn move inside your body. I LOVE being pregnant! I think I might actually miss it come August. Once I figure out how to upload pics I will post the latest sonogram pics.
